Primary School Mandarin Classes 

​​​​Our Primary Mandarin Immersion programme helps children (Ages 5–11) build confidence and strong communication skills through interactive, play-based learning. Each session blends stories, games, creative activities, simple hands-on projects, and guided speaking practice, making Mandarin feel natural, enjoyable, and achievable for young learners.

Children gradually develop listening, speaking, and early literacy skills, supported by structured progression and age-appropriate materials inspired by international Mandarin learning frameworks.

What Children Gain in This Programme

• Core speaking skills: learn to greet, introduce themselves, and have simple conversations
   

• Essential vocabulary for daily life, familiar topics, and meaningful classroom interactions
   

• Early character awareness: exposure to commonly used characters through fun recognition activities
   

• Optional writing practice for children interested in beginning strokes and simple characters
   

• Creative expression through storytelling, crafts, and hands-on tasks
   

• Confidence & communication: regular sharing activities help children speak Mandarin naturally
   

• Cultural awareness through seasonal themes, traditions, and age-appropriate exploration
   

This programme builds a strong foundation for future Mandarin learning, preparing children to progress smoothly into more structured levels as they grow.

Trial Lesson

​Book a trial session for £15 ( one hour per child) to let your child experience the class first.

Can’t find a class time that suits your family? We’d love to hear from you! Please let us know your preferred day and time. Once we have at least four students interested, we’ll be delighted to open a new class.

Witney Classes:

Tuesdays: 16:15–17:15 (Register your interest)

Saturdays: 10.30-11.30 (Register your interest)

Summertown Classes:

Tuesdays: 16:30-17:30 (Register your interest); Saturdays:14:00-15:00; 16:00-17:00

💷 Total Fee:

£160 for 8 sessions (Autumn term)

*Classes run with a minimum of 4 students to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment.

💗 Flexible Start: Children can join at any time during the term

💡 Missed a class? No problem! The session can be made up through one-to-one or one-to-two private half hour tuition for an additional fee

 

How to Join​

• Book a trial or reserve your spot by emailing ​info@mandarin-unity.com to make payment. Please include your child's name, age, and preferred class time.

• If you can’t find a suitable time, please share your availability. Once we have at least 4 students, we’ll open a new group class.​

For other levels students who want a small group class but don’t see it listed on the website, please send your information to ​info@mandarin-unity.com to be added to the waiting list. Once we have 4 students, a new group class will be open.
